Aloo Potol (for 4 pax) |
Ingredients
Potatoes | 4 (cut into cubes). |
Potol | 5 ( cut like circles). |
Rice (Basmati) | 1/2 cup (100ml). |
Whole cumin seeds | 1 tbsp. |
Cumin powder | 4 tbsp. |
Green Chili | 4 (cut lenghtwise). |
Salt | According to taste. |
Sugar | According to taste. |
Garam masala (Paste of cinnamon and cardamon) | 2 tbsp. |
Oil | 8 tbsp. |
Ghee | 1 and half tbsp. |
Water | 2 cups (if needed you can give more). |
Preparation
- In a frying pan fry potato and potol separately and keep them aside.
- Now in the same pan fry rice for two mins in two tbs oil and keep it aside.
- Again in the frying pan heat 2 tbs oil and give cumin seeds. When it pops up switch off the gas.
- Now in a bowl mingle cumin powder, salt and turmeric powder and start the gas and pour the mixture in the pan
and stir. Keep stiring for 5 mins on low heat.
- Then give little water and again stir for 2 mins, then give potato and potol in the pan and stir again for
7 mins on low heat.
- Then give water, enough to form a gravy and how much liquidity you want and give rice in it and keep on low
heat until come to boil.
- When its boiled give green chilli and sugar and garam masala and keep for 2/3 mins and then switch off the stove.
- Now put ghee from top and mix it all over the curry.
